A rare, 'field used' BU officially produced Blackshirt active member’s rank badge. Single ‘gold’ (bright yellow thread) bar on black wool backing and backed with grey cotton fabric, now very grubby and with a small area of 'damage' to the centre of the bar. This piece of rank insignia would be worn on the left breast of the black 'fencing' style shirt. Rank of ‘Unit Leader’
