A superb ASR album compiled by a single individual
15 page album full of images taken in North Africa all appertaining to the rescue units service / maintenance / crew team.
Images consist of unit members both at rest and on duty, as well as many illegally taken (at the time) images on high speed rescue boats showing both exterior views of various boats as well as images taken on board and within certain boats….A quite unique record of a group of men’s service.
Album covers the period 1940 until what I believe to be the wars end.
Approx 80 images with one loose.
Inside front cover has an ASR embroidered sleeve patch mounted to the page centre top (see images).
Interestingly their is an larger photo image in the album of a British aeroplane dropping a torpedo….and as such showing what a hazardous job this was….The torpedo bounce is caught perfectly and can only be described as incredible.
I have not shown the covers. They are in sound undamaged condition, finished in blue.
In all an excellent well presented album.
