WW2 ‘Chart of War Gases’ commercially produced under the auspices of the Ministry of Home Security. Three page fold out chart detailing the types of gases likely to be used by the enemy in a civilian air drop gas attack. Printed by HMSO and dated 1942. Pencilled owner details to front cover, faint and not easy to read. Centre fold but damage free.
On National Service Factory lapel badge for Cunliffe - Owen Aircraft Ltd. Excellent condition badge, in blue and white enamel on brass. Button hole fitting to reverse. Maker details ‘Fattorini & Sons Ltd. Bradford Works Birmingham‘. Issue numbered 420.
FIRE armband. Heavy duty red cotton canvas armband with the word 'FIRE' stitched to the band face, with a roller buckle as a fastener. This armband is of pre / early war vintage when volunteers came forward for fire prevention duties. This style of band was rendered obsolete with the introduction of the Fire Guard armband under organised fire guard control.
AWA Flying Group Overall badge. Mint condition cloth badge. Thanks to a site viewer I can now attribute this patch to the ‘Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft’ organisation. A.W. were a major producer of aviation products pre and during WW2.
