Outstanding well stored condition with slight creasing to the poster edges.
A very good pictorial and text, card cover, account of the Blitz suffered by Portsmouth July 1940 - May 1944. Fairly graphic images of bomb destruction suffered by the city, that may well have not passed the censor earlier in the war. Good clean damage free condition with an inked ‘gift’ dedication to the inside front cover. Profits from the sale of the booklet were to be donated
A members ticket for a horse racing event at Newmarket 1942. Excellent bi-coloured enamel and brass badge. Reverse with matching obverse issue number, and ‘non-transferable’ detail. The war was not intended to get in the way of the ‘sport of kings’.........
WW2 ARP / CD battledress service chevrons. 4 red chevrons on nay backing. Printed format. Removed from a tunic.
A good vintage cap band (female) for this ‘fee paying school‘. Opened in September 1914. In 1936 former pupil Harold Whitlock planted an oak tree sapling in front of the entrance to the Gymnasium which he had received, along with his Gold Medal for the 50 kilometres (31 mi) walk, from Adolf Hitler at the Berlin Olympic Games.
