A fine example of a WW1 vintage water bottle, mounted in a leather, shoulder holster/cradle, as used by artillery units.
Bottle is in very good damage free condition, covered with the buff coloured heavy felt, typical of this periods bottle covering.
Stopper is complete and in damage free condition attached to the felt covering by a longish piece of cord, again a typical feature of this vintage of bottle.
Couple of small areas of (none active) moth to the felt covering, with more substantial none active moth under the strap areas.
Leather cradle and shoulder strap with canvas (wide) shoulder support is in matching damage free condition. Its a very tight fit to the bottle.
No maker or date details to cradle.
