A very nice untouched and unpolished other ranks Royal Flying Corps cap badge, that is so age toned it appears from the front to be an officer bronze badge.
Voided ‘C’.
Damage free, with the reverse having the two loop other ranks fittings.
Complete with fitting pin.
A good, well service used WW1 1918 pattern Airman’s (other ranks) cap badge. Red heavy silk / thread detail on black velvet padded centre. Very good condition, as said with honest service use. Heavy black cotton backing material. Some moth to obverse badge edging.
A fine example of an officer quality RFC side cap. Khaki whip cord material cap, with a quilted silk liner. Exterior is with a couple of small moth holes and use snags. Interior quilting is with surface fragmentation / wear (see images). Bronze OSD cap badge has been in situe 'forever', and is held in place by two reverse riffing blades. Side flaps held in the closed position
The memorial card as issued for the service of remembrance for the victims of the R.101 Airship disaster of October 1930. The card has suffered from age storage and as such is a little stained and ‘grazed’, but is in overall very good handle able condition.
A innocuous piece of insignia, that is however a rarity and little worn in this period. Bullion wire wound stripe on RAF blue backing. Worn on the very first RAF uniforms (post Russian blue) for those suffering wounds during the Great War. (Interestingly I have never seen an image of this insignia in wear). A rare item !
