WW1 BRITISH 1908 PATTERN WEBBING EQUIPMENT CARTRIDGE POUCHES

WW1 BRITISH 1908 PATTERN WEBBING EQUIPMENT CARTRIDGE POUCHES

Description

A very good condition pair, of ‘08 pattern webbing field used cartridge pouches.

Most fittings are present and in working order (popper studs should be treated with respect and care & one belt securing tab is missing, this I have marked clearly in the images).

Pouches have been period ‘pea/mid’ green blancoed, with much of it worn off, and are as such, a good colour match pairing.

The right pouch is clearly maker marked to the rear strap and dated 1918, the left pouch is not so clearly marked.

Left pouch is the later pattern with securing straps.

A nice pair of items (with some wear, see images) on which a set of equipment could be based/built.

Becoming harder to find in this condition.

(The pouches are an integral part of most equipment builds and as such are needed to complete a representation).
