Labour Research Department 36 page booklet ‘Who Backs Mosley?’ ‘Fascist Promise and Fascist Performance’.
1934 produced booklet detailing all (to date) BUF and Mosley misdemeanours within the British political arena, including policy and activities such as the Olympia rally.
This is an early analysis of the BUF (the party being only two years in existence at this time) and its activities.
The Labour Party, at this time, probably to its credit realised the capabilities of this ‘new dynamic party’ with the leadership of a tried and tested (albeit unpredictable) established MP, and a broad spectrum of support from the working class’s to the upper middle class.
The Labour Party also realised that this new party would have to be ‘hindered’ in its growth, for fear of draining its own corps support from the parties disgruntled middle ground.
A rare piece of early anti-BUF / fascist literature, by a main stream political party. Mint condition with slight age discolouring, and a few small internal marks where this item has been used for research purposes.
