A small celluloid plastic funeral cap made from red celluloid with swastika decoration.
Base is with an attached card ‘coaster’ (see images).
Used as a disposable drinks cup at lower level party official/supporters funeral wakes.
This one is with chipping to the rim.
I bought this box of aluminium ID tags a while back in Europe, not knowing exactly what they were, assuming they were aircraft production related, due to the winged emblem visible on some of the discs. (The original box was damp/falling apart with a number of tags at the base of the box having to be thrown away due to very poor condition).
My assumption proved
A very good condition 20ltr petrol/diesel 'Gerry Can'.
Can is rust free and has clear German maker details, date, Wehrmacht use marking and Waffenamt stamping (see images).
The can has use denting, but as stated is rust free and appears free from puncturing.
Filler cap in good working order, and complete with its rubber sealing grommet.
Can has been repainted,not recently with British army green paint typical of the
