    A very good condition, leather, field equipment, entrenching tool carrier. Leather is in excellent supple condition, being in fine dark chestnut brown in colour. Buckle in working order with the strap in supple serviceable condition. Lightly scratched initials to the head of the harness obverse (See images). No date but maker marked.

  • IMPERIAL GERMAN FLAG STAFF ‘DEDICATION’ BADGE

    A State eagle ‘badge’, donated (i.e. the flag sponsored/paid for) by the local ‘Association’ Arnsbery, the North Rhine in the Ruhr Valley. The badge would have been tacked to a military/Regimental  flag pole by small tacks. Beautifully engraved central detail panel with the dedication date 1913, with an 800 silver mark. Sadly the eagle wings have suffered some damage with a small piece missing to the right wing

  • IMPERIAL GERMAN ‘MATCH BOX COVER’ “FLEISSIGE BERTA”

    I never knew that German match box covers existed ! This is a chrome plated steel cover with a super obverse embossed image of a ‘Berta’ shell with an Imperial Iron Cross super imposed on it. The legend on it reads ‘FLEISSIGE  BERTA’, translated meaning ‘Hard working Berta’. Excellent damage free condition, with slight plating loss to high points and corners. No maker details

  • IMPERIAL GERMAN 1914 MANUFACTURED BAYONET FROG

    A super condition Imperial German bayonet frog manufactured in 1914. Dark tan/brown untouched leather is in outstanding supple condition for its age. (Would benefit, as I always recommend with hide food for further longevity). Damage free with good clear maker details ‘Hans Romer Nue-Ulm 1914’ with a later marking ‘BAM 9 30’ to the reverse side (see images). An excellent accompaniment to a period bayonet

  • IMPERIAL GERMAN M17/M18 CAMOUFLAGE COMBAT HELMET

    A superb, untouched, but sadly (probably) shed/garage stored for many years a M17/M18 German still combat helmet with camouflage finish and guards Kompanie markings. The helmet shell is dent and damage free, with approx 35%-40% of the original camouflage finish visible, in the main to the sides and rear of the shell. The interior finish is in similar condition with much finish lost to ‘orange’ surface rusting.

    A recently attic found, multi-piece enlisted mans Prussian belt buckle. A totally untouched item with age tarnish and a couple of areas of ‘green age verdigris’. Centre device fitted in place by two solder spots. Fitting bar and prongs in good strong condition. No maker details as is common.

  • IMPERIAL GERMAN 1847 PATTERN ENLISTED MANS BELY BUCKLE

    A superb condition 1847 pat. Enlisted mans two piece belt buckle. Front plate held in situ by ‘four’ solder points. Small dent to the circular front plate, otherwise dent and damage free. These buckles are distinctive, being slightly over-size compared to the WW1 & WW2 service equivalents !
