    In my time I’ve seen many of this type of badge, supposedly for Spitfire fund raising. I do find them rather extravagant in material to be for such a purpose, They seem to be more a ‘workshop’ made made, by ‘air-mechanics’ etc. All the above said a period well made lapel pin.
