  • AIR MINISTRY ’41 PATTERN ‘MAE WEST’ LIFE JACKET

    A very good condition 1941 pattern 'Mae West' life jacket. Yellow heavy cotton material in excellent condition. Jacket has moderate service use. All straps poppers and tags present. AM ‘FLAP‘ label to inside reverse. There is a small stitching repairs around the bladder zip. Life jacket only, no internal fittings i.e. kapoks, bladder etc.

  • RAF ESCAPE & EVASION TUNIC BUTTON COMPASS

    A superb RAF tunic button, escape and evasion compass. A ’wheel’ compass is fitted within a superbly engineered RAF button. This type of escape aid was worn on standard service dress tunics, dispersed amongst ‘ordinary’ buttons. Very fine thread with the removable back aligned with the detail on the reverse of the button.   • B.D. PLASTIC ESCAPE AND EVASION BUTTON COMPASS

    A ’plastic’ battledress escape and evasion button compass. Compass appears as innocuous BD buttons. Brown plastic / bakelite button which has magnetised points marked to its reverse with dots.   • RAF / AM 1941 PATTERN ‘MAE WEST’ FLOTATION KAPOKS

    A very good clean matched set of 1941 pattern ‘Mae West’ Kapok float cushions. Excellent white cotton, shaped cushions which are AM (Air Ministry) marked and stores reference numbered / marked 22C/93 13543. All three cushions are in super, damage and stain free condition.

    A very rare ATA (Air Transport Auxiliary) silver and enamel lapel badge. Worn by, in the main women pilots of the ATA on civilian dress. Blue and green enamel on silver.
