    A superb example of a Red Cross field service personnel cap badge in gilt & enamel. Enamel is in excellent damage free condition with slight surface marking. Gilt finish 98% intact. Reverse with two loop cap fitting and maker details ‘Gaunt’ with issue number marking to top right when viewing the reverse. Badge worn on the khaki field service cap.

  • WW2 FREE POLISH FORCES ‘TOMMY’ HELMET

    A rare, Free Polish forces, serving with the British Army ‘Tommy’ helmet. Helmet is dent and damage free with its textured paint finish in dark khaki/green. The helmet has been attic stored for many years and as such the surface is interspersed with light surface rusting throughout the exterior and interior.   • WW2 BRITISH:- Gen. B.L. MONTGOMERY SIGNATURE

    A very nice ‘life’ cartoon of General Montgomery, by ‘Reynolds’ signed by the General to the top left corner. A very good war time signature in black ink, with a slight ‘smudge’ to the lower arm of the ‘L’. The cartoon is taken from a descriptive detail on how to send ‘Air Graphs’.     A fine matching cap and collar badge grouping for a driver with the National Motor Volunteers. Superb chocolate bronze finish to all three items. Reverse maker details JR Gaunt London to the collar badges and Gaunt London to the cap badge with an item serial number.   • WW1 BRITISH MARKSMANS TRADE/QUALIFICTION BADGE

    A very nice post 1909 ‘Best Shot Section’ infantry and engineers best shooting company qualification/trade badge as worn by section commanders and sergeants. Moth and damage free, with slight traces of ‘blue tac’ remains to reverse, were removed from an album. An un-common qualification badge.

  • WW1 BRITISH ‘FIELD CAMPAIGN’ TEA & SUGAR CONTAINER

    A nice example of a double ended tin to contain tea and sugar. A good kit bag item bought in the UK and sent out to the Front as part of probably a bigger gift parcel. Tinned steel, with some loss to the plating in places. Few minor dents, but other-wise damage fee. Contained in one end are some ‘rust stained’ sugar granule remnants....WW1 sugar ?   • WW1 BRITISH ‘TRENCH’ WATCH FACE GUARD

    A lattice faced guard to protect the glass of a wrist watch, while in the trenches. Excellent damage free condition, with simple top and bottom fitting loops. These were advertised and sold in various publications with the paper wrapper showing the wrist of a cuff ranked officer.

  • WW1 WATER COLOUR NURSING INTEREST

    I think its fair to say that this is no masterpiece, but none-the-less a very nice period amateur artist water colour of a Canadian nurse from the No. 7 Canadian Stationary Hospital.
