  • PRINCESS MARY 1914 GIFT FUND:- WRITING SET WALLET

    An outstanding example of of the 1914 gift fund writing wallet, complete with much of its original content. Canvas covered wallet with the front flap containing the press stud popper and gift fund detail in red detail.     A rare example of this WW2 war raised unit, the Highland Regiment WW2 economy plastic bonnet badge. Plastic, matt bronze in colour. Complete with original reverse rear fitting blades. Maker marked ‘A Stanley & Sons Walsall 1-A’. No age curvature, excellent overall condition, with minor hair line crack at the buckle area.

  • BRITISH KING EDWARD VIII AIDE-de-CAMP SHOULDER CIPHERS

    A very rare pair of King Edward VIII gilt brass shoulder ciphers indicating the position of Aide-de-Camp to the King. Excellent damage free condition with some wear to the gilt to the cipher obverse. Reverse with 2 loop fittings and complete with fitting split pins. Approx dimensions 37mm X 25mm.

  • WW1 BRITISH 37TH DIVISION FORMATION SIGN

    Still remaining on the whip cord officer quality khaki backing material a felt wool yellow 'horse shoe' formation sign of the 37th division. Fine felt wool sign with minor moth surface tracking. Whip cord backing cut closely to the formation sign with a small area of moth. Formed in March 1915 as part of the 'New Armies' the division saw heavy action in the Somme offensive of 1916

    A good used grubby condition 74th (Yeomanry) Division formation sign. The divisions broken spur on black wool backing. Nice untouched condition. Appears to have been removed from an album or frame. The broken spur is representative of the Division turning from a cavalry to an infantry division.   • WW1 BRITISH OFFICER CUFF RANK TUNIC

    A superb, ‘used’, named, cuff rank tunic to an officer serving with the Devonshire Regiment, with the rank of lieutenant. Tunic, overall condition is excellent, while showing good honest wear and with much ‘wear character’. Heavy whip cord material, typical of tunics of the period, is with wear fading, and has had the cuff edges re-enforced/period repaired with leather.
