  • WW1/INTER WAR ‘08 PATTERN AMMUNITION POUCHES DATED 1937

A superb pair of un-blancoed, matched ‘08 ammunition pouches dated 1937. All fittings present and in good working order. They are lightly used. Reverse with good clear date details and a maker mark the is faint that I don’t readily recognise. (I believe it may be South African). Excellent item for that early WW2 representation, or for those looking for in-blancoed webbing. Royal Marines used ‘08 webbing during the

  • WW1 BRITISH WRIST ID TAG MACHINE GUN CORPS OFFICER

A super wrist ID worn by a 2nd Lt serving with the Machine Gun Corps. Quality engraving detail giving the wearers name and rank, religion and Corps. No markings, and as such I’d say an E.P.N.S. Made tag on a steel chain. Sadly the keeper clasp is absent.

  • WW1 BRITISH 1913 WD MARKED HUDSON TRENCH WHISTLE

The stuff of Mons and the Christmas truce...... A pre WW1 regular army issued trench (or as was then signal) whistle. A Hudson made ‘flute’ whistle, carrying the early full maker address (see images), good clear 1913 date and with a WD broad arrow. Excellent overall condition with only minor denting and surface scratching. A hard to now find whistle, being all the rarer with the WD mark. (Most

  • WW1 BRITISH TRENCH ART ‘SERVICE DRESS CAP’

A super, and in some ways an iconic piece of ‘Trench art’ in the form of a service dress cap, made from a British 1915 dated 18 pound artillery shell case. Excellent, loved, polished condition. The ‘cap badge’ is made from Royal Engineers brass tunic button. (It should always be remembered, that much trench art was immediate post war, cottage industry made, for battlefield tourists. Crude and heavy

  • WW1 BRITISH OFFICER ‘PRIVATE’ PURCHASE BRODIE HELMET & COVER

A magnificent example of a WW1 British private purchase Brodie helmet, with ‘mortar-board’ liner, cover and attached Regimental badge. Helmet is complete and in damage free condition. The liner is of the type typically used by military outfitters of the period to make the helmet ‘comfortable’ for wear by the use of a ‘mortar-board’ style liner, typically used in the manufacture of University graduation head wear. Liner is

  • WW1 BRITISH ‘IMPERIAL SERVICE’ BREAST BADGE (In Bronze)

A good example of the Imperial Service breast badge. Excellent damage free condition, with good strong sturdy reverse fitting pin as is common, manufactured in ‘Bronze’ as an economy measure, rather than the early examples in nickel silver. (I have described this as an economy version in bronze, as this is the accepted reasoning. However little is ‘actually’ know as to why a bronze version).

  • MI9 ESCAPE AND EVASION ‘SHAVING BRUSH’

An ingenious/innocent looking piece of personal field kit. Un-screw the base to reveal a concealed miniature compass. Excellent condition, being very late war dated and as such probably un-issued/un-used. Brush is I believe badger hair with the body made of brown Bakelite. Compass is in working condition. A whole range of items (to include concealed weapons) was produced by MI9 to aid escaping servicemen and also agents working behind
