A good used example of a denim material other ranks ‘Trench’ cap.
Khaki material is with period use and age storage wear. Correct brown leather chin strap held in place by two OR’s GS cap buttons.
Royal Engineer cap badge, which has been nicely period shaped (into a dome) by the wearer/user. Mark behind the cap badge wear a badge has been for some time.
Some cracking to the black oil skin liner to the crown (see images), and a couple of areas of fragility to the khaki denim crown. Multi-stitched peak.
With these caps its always a point of contention, ‘has the badge been on the cap from the word go’, given they are only fitted via a slider. In this instance if the badge were to be changed I suspect a more ‘up-market’ unit might be selected, over and above this very large Corps.
