A stunning, un-touched Royal Canadian Air Force issued, 1932 pattern 'Mae West' life jacket in the less common 'standard' British manufacture blue grey rather than yellow.
The jacket is with honest service wear and is complete with its inflation bladder and kapok float cushions. (Note:- The bladder feels supple / handle-able / serviceable, but I have not removed it, to fully inspect).
This is exactly as the jacket has come into stock, from a veterans family. It has remained untouched since it was packed away after the users WW2 service.
The jacket is in excellent damage free, grubby condition and is as stated in absolute un-touched condition.
It has had user names added and obliterated, and is complete with its R.C.A.F. Issue label.
The shoulder zip is in excellent working order.
The bladder and kapok's are in situe as should be, and are undisturbed since use.
Everything feels supple and in very good displayable, handleable condition. (Please be aware that I have opened the zip and viewed the internal fittings, but have not removed them).
The 'FRONT' and other information stampings are present but worn / faded due to use.
Leg ties are present and in untouched 'used' condition.
The inflation hose is supple and in keeping with the rest of the jacket
The jacket has been well stored in a stable environment and as such is very much as was, when it finished its service life.
A superb item that displays incredibly well and is virtually complete. (Heliograph mirror etc needed to complete the ensemble.
A very rare to the market, item of RAF / RCAF flying equipment !

This is a SOLD Item.
