An exceptionally nice, field used battalion marked hooked quillion bayonet in its matching first pattern scabbard.
Bayonet and scabbard are in very, very nice condition for a field used item with only black spotting corrosion marks thought-out. Both items are rust free !
Blade in stunning untouched condition with no edge knocks or sharpening in the field.
Scabbard perfectly matched for finish and condition, it being the first pattern type with button rather than furrel end.
Bayonet and scabbard with matching issue number 685.
Bayonet handle with battalion marking ‘3 G G’ (Third Battalion Grenadier Guards).
Rifle release button in full free working order.
Black leather scabbard damage free.
The general condition throughout is superb with no ‘issues’ of damage or modification.
A scarce item, made all the more attractive with the battalion marking.
