WW2 BRITISH ‘TOMMY’ SERVICE HELMET ATTRIBUTABLE
A superb condition, attributable, early matching dated liner and shell, field service ‘Tommy’ helmet with 95% plus original sand finish khaki / green finish.
Helmet shell dated 1939 with serial numbers adjacent to rear underside rim.
Liner is with 1st pattern ’oval’ upper cushion pad with clear maker and date details to the liner ‘Vero I 1939 Size 7’.
Chin strap in excellent matching condition with buckle assembly.
Original netting cover still attached.
Owner name painted to the underside of the rim. (Maj. O. E. Chapman R.T.R.)
Helmet is in dent and damage free condition.

Well above average appearance, & becoming harder to find in this untouched condition.
