WW1 BRITISH HOSPITAL BLUE TUNIC
For a tunic that was produced in vast numbers, few have survived to come onto the collector market.
Course mid-blue wool tunic of simple design.
Tunic has been peppered with moth and storage damage though out, but displays well and is not so fragile that it cannot be handled.
Interior with white lined trim and faint correct WW1 WD issue make.
Interestingly one of the elbows has been period patched repaired by WD salvage, showing that the tunic was intended for wear by more than one casualty….Once handed back into store after a casualties recuperation, it was cleaned and as with this one repaired….ready for the next ‘wearer’.

This is a SOLD Item.
