A good ‘Type E’ carbon microphone fitted with full length loom and brown bakelite ‘jack plug’.
The mic housings are usually covered in chamois leather, this one appears never to have been covered and is finished in a black textured (cork) paint.
Mic housing is in alloy.
The microphone is present, but not wired up correctly.
Jack plug with a chip to its edge.
The mic switch is also broken flush with the housing but is in full working order.
Loom pliable and in serviceable condition.
Would fit an early mask well, with the view to representing a Battle of France / Britain vintage communication system.
