WW2 RAF (AUXILIARY) OFFICER SERVICE DRESS TUNIC
An untouched RAF Auxiliary Squadron Leader’s service dress tunic.
Lovely ‘dusty’ un-cleaned condition showing honest ‘field’ service wear.
Named and early dated 1936 to tailor’s label to inside breast pocket.
1937 Coronation medal ribbon (with matching wear to the tunic), medal loops and pilots brevet to left breast.
Rank lace to lower sleeves showing a promotion. (The central narrower band is brighter than the upper and lower laces). Brass ‘A’s to both collars.
As with the WAAF tunic the cuff edges and elbows have been patched with leather.
Collar now with some areas of wear.
Some minor moth and areas of wear to various parts of the tunic.
Not an easy branch of service tunic to now find.
