WW1 INDIAN MADE LEFT '08 WEBBING AMMUNITION POUCH
A rare un-issued, Indian made 1908 pattern webbing left hand ammunition pouch.
Typically lower quality theatre made piece of equipment with not only lower grade cloth work but with matching low grade metal work finish.
In terms of European made items; this being the left pouch without the securing strap modifications, is a comparatively rare item.
I have to say that my knowledge of Indian made webbing is limited and I am not sure if said items were ever manufactured at any time with securing straps.
The exact period of manufacture is also a matter of debate as Indian troops used ‘08 equipment as standard issue in the early stages of WW2 and the inter-war years.
A rare original item of 1908 pattern webbing.

This is a SOLD Item.
