Another rare example of a 1914 Princess Mary gift fund, gift.
The writing wallet, as issued to troops that were non-smokers.
As the vast percentage of troops smoked this is compared to the tin with tobacco content now as it was in 1914 a rare item.
Canvas covered wallet with Mary’ monogram etc.
The inside inner flap has the initials ‘AW’, and contained in the wallet when bought into stock is a period book of a pastoral nature.
Content would have been 10 sheets of writing paper and envelopes, accompanied by the small Christmas / New year card and Mary photo contained in their small envelope.
The content as is usual is now gone !
Wallet is grubby but sound damage fee condition.
A hard item to now find.

This is a SOLD Item.
It is currently on view in Mons Military Antiques ‘Archive Pages’ of previously stocked and sold items....For items currently on sale from Mons’ go to the ‘On-Line Shop’ pages !
