A fabulous early inter war Highland Light Infantry (Territorial) officer ‘Tam ‘O’ Shanter’ Bonnet.
Bonnet has many manufacturing features a-kin to a WW1 bonnet apart from the fabric which is in barathea rather than whip-chord.
The bonnet badge is most definitely of WW1 manufacture being a service dress multi-piece example of the Highland Light Infantry (Territorial Battalions).
Cap is in excellent damage free condition, with a couple of very, very minor moth ’nips’.
Interior in clean, matching condition with spiral stitched crown.
Maker label is clear, but with the owner details now very faint and un-readable.
The cap badge has a matching maker plate to its reverse as the cap maker ’Wm. Anderson’.
A stunning version of this officer highland bonnet that would be hard to better !
