A good rural policeman's parade bayonet. Decorative eagle head handle, with stag horn grips, police emblem, and green felt 'rifle' fitting slot infill.
Very good, clean bright plated blade with maker marks to both sides. Brown leather scabbard has a crease to its centre and seems to have had a period, what can best be described as 'modification' to the bottom fitting.
Dark brown leather frog with maker mark and date 1936. Frog has been punctured with a hole where the bayonet 'as is' has been displayed as a wall fitting by the veteran that picked this item up.
