An excellent condition 1917 Pat. World War 1 U.S. small box respirator, complete with is carry bag and service record card.
Face-mask is of rubberised cotton, being in, well above average condition for its age. There is some flaking and age hardening to the rubberised interior. Eye pieces clear and in very good condition. Nose tongs complete and in serviceable condition. All elasticated head bands present but with elastic now a little fragile.
Filter box in matching very good, rust free condition; the mask being complete with its service record card.
Carry bag is in slightly grubby, damage free condition with cover flap having ’typical’ U.S. securing buttons.
Faint owner name in indelible pencil to bag front. Inner flap with faint maker / date details.
