WW2 CIVILIAN CHAPLAINS INCIDENT SERVICE HELMET
A extremely rare service helmet as worn by chaplains of the various Christian faiths while attending enemy incidents on the home front i.e. bombed housing etc. where trapped occupants would be in need of pastoral comfort / last rights and also giving general help and comfort to all taking part in proceedings.
White single (exterior) over-painted home front helmet, in very good condition with service wear and abrasing.
Single crucifix painted to the helmet front. Interior in standard helmet colour.
Helmet shell is plain and without maker details.
Early liner with oval cushion pad.
Helmet liner with maker details J.C.S. & W. Ltd. Size 7 and date (I) 1938.
Excellent untouched condition.
