A rare 1902 pattern other ranks service dress tunic to a sergeant in the ‘Kings Royal Rifles’.
Tunic is of a size in keeping with its vintage. Tunic condition is excellent, being moth and damage free.
Black horn buttons are plain with no maker details. Top button is absent. Right upper breast pocket button is detached but in the pocket. Period attached 1914, 1914-15 ribbon to upper left breast. Matching sergeant chevrons to both sleeves. Wound stripe to lower left sleeve. Blackened ’KRR’ brass titles to both epaulets. Interior of the tunic is with white canvas / cotton lining material. Remains of its paper issue label. Issue stamping is clear and visible being adjacent to the paper label. Tunic is with
initials ’WK’ and what appears to be a service number in black ink.
As stated, an overall excellent condition tunic, becoming now very hard to find in this untouched condition.
Tunic shows moderate / light service wear.
